The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) presented the second edition of Ghana Music Week from March 3 to March 9, 2014 at the National Theatre, Accra Sports Stadium and some selected venues in Accra. It is the official meeting ground for those leading and shaping Ghana's music industry, bringing together and encouraging participation of artists, the media, policy makers and consumers.

The Official Opening Ceremony was held at the National Theater, with a journey through Ghanaian music from 17th century to the present. The next day the Ghana Music Honours 2014 was held at the National Theater An awards show by musicians for musicians honoured 15 deserving musicians and personalities in the music Industry. Then live music -- High Life at the jazz club +233 and Hip Life at a concert at Accra Stadium celebrating Ghana's 57th year of independence.

On the business side there were workshops held at the British Counsel on intellectual property, marketing and promotion, and a stakeholders meeting to discuss the soon to be released KPMG's comprehensive study on the muisc business contribution to the Ghana's economic development.
